The Province added a feather in the life of the street children when Bhubaneswar community decided to celebrate this year the Independence Day with the Street Children of Bhubaneswar. It was indeed a great joy for them. This celebration brought a sense of citizenship and celebration of a family festival. National Flag was hoisted by one of our well wisher Mr. Sanjay, a student of BCA. There were also other well wishers who came to spend this special day with these underprivileged children of our society. This celebration added colour to them when they relished the sweets and snacks distributed by our well wishers. …..there were also women who participated. They expressed their deep joy in allowing them to be part of this celebration and have the joy of celebrating Independence Day in this way. They said this day has created an ever lasting memory to them. "Every one, born in India is a citizen of India, no matter where one is born or how wealthy and healthy one is, or where one stays. Freedom is the birth right of every one and August 15th is a day to celebrate this freedom responsibly and recall and resolve to live up to our duties as citizens of India in our own little ways" Said Mr.Sanjay in his message to the gathering. He reminded them that they are the future pillars of the state and the Nation at large. Personally to the Province it was a wake up call to respond to the needs of the most neglected in our vicinity. It was the dream of the Province coming true. This day called us to think…. Can we precisely respond to the most downtrodden children of our Society? In this modern world which is fascinated by all latest scientific technologies that which shapes and moulds the attitude and behavior of the people one need to think beyond the COMFORT ZONE, to risk into a mission of being with the most unwanted burdens of the society to live the greatest love.
